CIBSE encourages knowledge sharing

The Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) has established a freely accessible web resource to help industry bodies and professionals share knowledge and discuss the increasingly important and widely-discussed subject of Building Information Modelling (BIM).

All who are experienced in applying BIM are encouraged to share their insight and experience through the BIMTalk website to help create an independent source of concise, informative and unbiased material.

The BIMTalk open initiative is supported by BSRIA and the Landscape Institute along with contributors such as Arup, Andekan, Balfour Beatty and Hoare Lea.

BIMTalk is intended to be a non-partisan accessible resource which signposts users towards existing sources and resources, notably practical content such as case studies.

In his Presidential speech ‘Whole Life Thinking’, CIBSE President, George Adams highlighted the need to embrace new innovations through research and development, and technologies such as BIM.
