BSRIA, The Building Services Research and Information Association, has announced its sponsorship of Designing Buildings Wiki – an integrated, collaborative open source knowledge base providing over 1300 articles covering everything from Soft Landings to concept structural design. The information is live and is continuously updated by the industry as changes happen.

BSRIA joins other leading organisations in supporting Designing Buildings Wiki as a positive and practical way of ensuring that the industry has access to the latest information and guides to best practice.

The Association says: “As a sponsor we are committing to the platform’s continuous growth by contributing our own content as well as encouraging BSRIA members to get involved as well.”

BSRIA Information and Knowledge Manager Jayne Sunley said: “As digital working becomes a solid part of the industry people want free and easily accessible information. Designing Buildings Wiki has an invaluable role to play in this digital evolution as a provider of innovative and relevant information from the industry for the industry.”

David Trench CBE, Chairman of Designing Buildings Wiki, said: “Designing Buildings Wiki has been created to break down some of the barriers which exist in the construction industry, and to make comprehensive knowledge available to everyone, in one place, free of charge.”
